Leveled Workshops!
Following WSDC’s (World Swing Dance Council's) levels and point system, Meltdown has enforced leveled workshops.
What this means for you:
All instruction you receive will be catered to where you are in your dance journey
You will be learning with your peers and, if you are a competitor, meeting the dancers you might draw on the Jack & Jill competition floor
Unsure of your level or want to try to qualify for another level? We have level auditions on Friday at 5PM!
Amateur DJ Battle
Flex your mixes, set the vibe, and spin the tunes Saturday night at Meltdown!
Sign up for the annual Amateur DJ Battle to play a mini set during the social dance. All attendees get one vote!
Spaces are limited. Keep an eye on this space for the signup.
Level Auditions
If you don’t compete, are new to competitive WCS, or just want to dance a little more, sign up and audition!
Your Meltdown instructors will be evaluating auditioners’ abilities and recommending which level of classes would be best.
Reminder that leveled workshops & auditions are not a judgement on the dancer and are a way for everyone to learn, try, and potentially fail with their peers in controlled, safe environments.
Auditions are not required; without an audition dancers will be able to attend the workshops of their WSDC level and ‘lower’. (Ex. a WSDC Advance dancer can take Advanced, Intermediate, Novice, or Newcomer workshops). Dancers without a WSDC level are advised to register as ‘Newcomer’ and audition.
Sunday Funday - Disney’s Blizzard Beach!
After melting down we wash up this year at Disney’s water park, Blizzard beach! Join us Sunday for a fun chill day.
Blizzard Beach passes are not included in your Meltdown pass.
All passes are refundable, transferable to another dancer, but nontransferable to a future event. The original purchaser must notify via email any name changes on passes.
